You definitely described so much of what I was thinking and feeling when I first joined many years ago. I found so many people in here who listened to me and understood. People who lifted me up and helped me change how I felt about myself. I finally found my voice and didn't have to shut down and keep it to myself any longer.
That's why I'm back. I need to let it out and be heard again, and most of all, believe in myself again.

Thank you Wings, your post is so welcoming. I've struggled for most of my life with what happened to me and the decisions I have made (or been made for me). I think this site could be a real source of support going forwards.
