A Day to Play

Post by Oceantide »

I need a day to play
Just me, my selves, and I
We climb up to the mountain
We slide down to the river
We slither down the mudslide
We jump the hedge like hurdlers
We taste the snowman's icecap
We duck to miss the dodge balls
We bounce upon our pogo stick
We hopscotch down the alleyway
We skateboard down the sidewalk
We sleep beneath warm blankets

This is lovely, Oceantide. Such beautiful language and imagery. I enjoyed reading it. Hoping for you all to get many such days to play.
