We are we, us and ourselves,
Daily abuse had split us into polyfragments.
We never know love before,
We only knew deep pain and humiliation,
Our therapist told us to take little doses of love,
She gently said "sweetheart" to us often,
But we said we have grown to love the pain,
We had no way to survive except to accept the abuse,
Our therapist then said, "you are safe in my room."
"you have suffered the worst, you can survive it now."
"don't let your abusers win when you feel suicidal."
"we are an object, we are a toy" we said.
Therapist said, "you matter to me, all of you have value."
"it is time to reclaim back your mind, body, life and soul."
"I care" she texted me via sms
Our therapist often answer our emails and sms
She phoned us a few times when we were suicidal,
She once gifted us a stone with fragment patterns,
she told us to hold it into our hand
it is like holding all of our fragments into one,
it is a powerful symbol for healing.
we held it during sleep, we held it when we were paralyzed.
she always held both of my hands during grounding,
I was curling up all of my hands and fingers,
I was lying down on her couch and she held my rigid hand,
she cuddled and embraced me to the waist twice,
I was crying on her knees at the ground.
I was too traumatized during therapy I could not speak.
We then used non-verbal methods to communicate.
