Safety

Post by Oceantide »

Way up high on the tippy top
Those down below will never stop
Scrambling upward but they will flop
Thinning treetop branches will plop
Them oof back on the ground
Where they sit stunned, unwound
They gaze up high with rage
Thinking with just the right gauge
They’d send that birds nest tumbling
Spin-crash-spilling dumplings
But fledglings crack shells dying
And mothers send them flying
Would-be killers drool in anguish
As their prey escapes a bitter dish

I love this, Oceantide. I associate it with my recent and coming experiences and it gives me hope. Thank you for sharing it.
