The rage in my cage

They lock us in a cage
Full of their rage
Part of our book, it's just another page
So abused we are we don't yet feel rage.

Then we break free of our cage
And all we feel is rage.
Another book to write, not just a page
Of how we were bullied and trampled in their rampage.

But now there is more to the book than rage.
There is hope, a fresh start, a new page.
My book is full of rage but also a new stage
A place to me that feels quite strange.

I’ve been in that same kind of cage. Been overwhelmed and consumed just like you with your rage. I too have found hope and am writing a new page. Your story is powerful. Keep going and be brave.
