Dr. Judith Herman is my hero

Post by Progress »

I bought Trauma and Recovery by Judith Herman, MD.

After being triggered for 2 days because of Pete Walker’s definition of C-PTSD I needed to see for myself why he says “DISCLAIMER I am not an academic expert on Complex PTSD [Cptsd]…….a more clinical and extensive definition of Cptsd can be found on p. 121 of Judith Herman’s seminal book, Trauma and Recovery.”

Wow. Judith Herman is the superstar.

I read p. 121

And I’ve read the first three pages of ch 1. THIS BOOK! THIS WOMAN! She nails it, doesn’t she. She is my hero!

I remember it being a classic and am not sure whether I still have it. Likely it's somewhere. I'm glad her words feel more accurate to you!

It sounds good, Progress. I guess some people know what's going on.
