my family is a family of 8 and we have a little bit leftover (maybe 2 servings), unless grandma and my brother in law come. they live next door.
you could look up meat substitutes online. 😉

Slowcooker pasta and meatballs

Ok don't have a set recipe for this but my kids love it and can never get enough. I use sosmix which is a vegetarian dry sausage mix you make up with water but can use any sausage meat. 2 of my kids hate onion so don't use it but you can

250g soxmix
paprika
500g carton of tomato passata
herbs and spices to taste
enough pasta for everyone
tomato puree
veg gravy graduals
marmite
any veg you like I tend to use frozen sweetcorn or peas as only ones can get daughter to eat at moment

1. Turn on slowcooker to high
2. Make up the sosmix pre instructions and add paprika to taste, and put to one side.
3. Make up the sauce in the slowcooker.
Add any spices to the cooker and dry fry them for a few minutes. Add the tomato passata and heat through. Add the spices,
puree, marmite and gravy graduals and mix together. Add enough water to half way mark in slowcooker.
4. Add the pasta to the sauce make sure it is all covered in the liquid, add more water if needed. Turn down to low
5. Add any veg you are using and mix together
6. Make up the meatballs and brown them off in a frying pan.
7. Add the meatball and gently mix making sure the pasta stays covered.
8. Cook on low for at least 30min.

I have made this both at lunchtime to be eaten at tea and an hr before tea and it is just as nice.
If you are using onion fry them off with the spices or meatballs both would work well.

coconuts tried your creamy Italian chicken tonight with quorn fillets it was lovely thanks. will def make again

Yay...it's definitely one of my favs. Gonna try some of the recipes here in a couple weeks. When school ends. It's crazy right now

Made this one for tonight’s tea. Not tried it with the cream yet.

‘Chicken’ Kofta Curry

2tsp fresh root ginger, grated
4tsp crushes garlic
1tsp ground cinnamon
2tbsp dried coriander leaf
700g made sosmix (300g dried)
3tbsp oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2tbsp medium curry paste
400g canned tomatoes
200ml stock
150ml single cream - optional

1. Add the ginger, garlic, cinnamon and coriander leaf to the sosmix and mix well with your fingertips.
2. Make into bite-sized balls, place on a tray, cover and chill for 1hr.
3. Meanwhile turn the slow-cooker into high. Add the oil and gently fry the onion until soft. Stir in the curry paste and cook for few minutes.
4. Add the tomatoes and stock and stir. Cover and cook for 30-40min
5. Heat 2tbsp oil in a large, non-stick frying pan. Cook the ‘chicken’ balls until lightly browned. Using a slotted spoon and drain in kitchen paper.
6. Turn heat to low on slow-cooker. Add the balls and stir to cover in sauce. Cover and cook for at least 30minutes making sure the balls are cooked.
7. If using cream stir in 2 minutes before serving.
8. Serve with rice and garnish with chopped coriander
