Re: TED Talks
I know this is an old post, but I have found these Ted Talks helpful recently...

I've left the trigger as MT as some content may be triggering for some people.

Re: TED Talks
Oh what a wonderful idea.
(Aaand I just noticed that this is an old thread I didn't notice, somehow.
)
There's one that's mentioned on the forums a bit and I found very useful a while back - Brene Brown's talk on compassion and vulnerability. There is a line from it that stuck with me and I found particularly helpful, along the lines of you can't "selectively numb" emotions. It made a lot of sense of the healing process and why my original coping mechanisms didn't really work for longer term.
https://www.ted.com/talks/brene_brown_t ... nerability
) Could I ask though that any posted links include a short description of the content they link to? (Can just be copied from the site itself perhaps, particularly if the URLs aren't descriptive in themselves.) I don't usually follow links to the unknown, in case it's something that with hindsight I would have avoided at that time. Just means it's less possible surprise about the content that follows. Thank you though, it's wonderful to share helpful resources and take the time to do this for others! Much appreciated.

Thanks for bumping this thread, Crow! (Just noticed it's not a new topic too, but I like it anyhow.Crow wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 8:55 pmI know this is an old post, but I have found these Ted Talks helpful recently...
