Another Day

[Out of the Ashes]

Oh yea! Another day...

Another day I get to wake up in dismay,
about what I cannot exactly say.
I only know I was betrayed
in every possible way.

Oh yea! Another day...

Another day I lie and smile and say,
"I'm okay,"
Don't my eyes give me away?
How do they hide so much disarray?

Oh yea! Another day....

Another day I march in a faceless parade,
knowing it's all a well-organized masquerade,
where into the background, I fade.
How do I get out of this charade?

Oh yea! Another day...

Another day I fight the urge to run through a window pane,
in hopes that doing so will shatter all the pain,
of being stranded in a life filled with disdain.
This much I know: I am not insane.
