Painting

Post by Oceantide »

I need it
Crave it
Cherish it
Colors, shapes
Textures, faces
Joy within released

Or I block it
Numb to it
Abstract it
Severing meaning
Eviscerating joy
Eliminating hope

Listening, Oceantide. I'm thankful art is part of your world and can help with coping.

Oceantide,
cool name!

thought-provoking poem. Strong images!

It's about being in your creative process or it not be accessible to you?

Thanks, Watercolor and there

there, often my creative process is not accessible to me. It's frustrating and baffling. I go for months without painting or writing poetry or playing piano. Then I go for months doing all those things. I think I was expressing my frustration at the split when I wrote that poem.

I struggle with creativity too. Want to but even with supplies all around me, often and for too long cannot "do."

Good for you, expressing with your poem, whether well understood or not. I'm a fan of letting anything out that can be let out. When it can be.
