If you are looking for something to escape reality with, something that is light, clever and witty then I can't recommend Douglas Adams enough!!
Give "Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy" a try!
If I remember correctly the book starts off as follows:
"In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. "

I finally saw the movie a while back. It's great!
Currently, I'm reading a biographical novel called Artemesia. It's about Artemesia Gentilschi, an enormously talented and personally challenged artist. She happened was probably the first woman to be an artist famous and successful in her own time.
She refused, under torture , to deny that she had been raped by her artist father's partner. She then opened a case against her attacker in court.

Lately I've been reading 'The Courage To Heal'
It's been really insightful, a little triggering but it has really prompted me to delve deeply into healing from the SA

Last book I successfully finished reading was The Man Who Caught the Storm - the life of Tim Samaras, a brilliant & passionate engineer and storm chaser, who was the first to successfully deploy probes inside of tornadoes for the sake of science and safety... and ironically, among the first storm chasers to perish in one particular mega tornado.

I've just re read a trilogy of small books by the Norwegian explorer Erling Kagge. I could read them over and over...they are comforting and inspiring.
Simple observations and they have helped to ground me in these uncertain times we live in.

Walking: One Step at a Time
Philosophy for Polar Explorers

Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy by Steve Mann
A very easy, and extremely useful read - amazing how I had forgotten all the early days of puppy training!
