Re: Joy List
Hi there,
Not sure if this is the place to post this, but I thought, of us all & for reasons you will see, you may appreciate it the most...
I was reading posts, catching up with friends' threads earlier and feeling the usual mixture of emotions and as I came away from the computer today, my overriding emotion was one of admiration - for the enormity of struggles that we all face, whatever our histories & current circumstances, the mental health difficulties that affect us all in varying ways, the striving we do every day to get better, to improve our lives, our ability to exist even...... and then, as all of this washed over me, what came on to the radio..? Only one of my favourites...a brilliant Prince track..."Let's go crazy"... and so I did... For us all. I cranked up the volume, threw off my slippers (so sad, I know, but so comfy.... ), had a quiet smile to myself at the irony of the song's title and I danced my little heart out. I went crazy, rocked it for all I was worth. The whole time, thinking of all of you guys, imagining us all rocking it together.
I had a little personal isurvive party and it was joyous!
Love to you all,
Jitterbug

Re: Joy List
Jitterbug and Jonesy!
Whose names, like he word, "joy", start with "I"!
Dipping my toes in the sea this morning. Watching Tula run on the beach to fetch her toy.
Waking up to an ocean view out the sliding doors of motel room.
We had a joyful night away.

Thanks, DMT32!
Writing about my childhood with humor for autobiographical exercise.
Spring weather not requiring 12 lbs. of clothing...Just one layer!
I enjoy not taking offense at things from strangers that really can't harm me.
Seeing flowers budding and leaves greening.
Word game here with isurvive friends.

Re: Joy List
I am learning the joy in small things, small people (grandkids) and small successes. It doesn't have to be a huge thing to bring me joy. I am so happy with small things. Being angel for someone else is my greatest joy.
I am learning for me it isn't about looking good anymore. It is about feeling good and grateful.
