Arrrr our at ( name removed ) Gardens with my dad and all he wants to talk about is my mental health and the abuse. I really don’t want to talk about it I just want to enjoy the nice weather and the flowers

Yea had five minutes when was able to get in line so quick post to scream before I screamed at him. He was really winding me up today. He started within 10min of meeting going on about you will only get how much sleep your body needs and that if 2hrs then find get up and start the day. Then as we are walking through the gardens he starts talking about the abuse right there in public and going on about mental health and how I’ve just got to learn to except it. Then at lunch he starts on the education is a privilege not a right and that children who are unruly in class should not be aloud access to school as not all children are ready and that those with special needs shouldn’t be taught academics but other things. He is to be a teacher back in the ‘80s and ‘90s so not for a while but still thinks to tell me I am wrong when I was saying daughter had chosen to do business studies at A level as teacher said only difference was how hard the exam was but that the course material and how it is taught are the same.
Thankfully only normally see him once a year as my boys are not included in family Christmas meal because of their additional needs so I don’t go. So unless he wants to take daughter and myself out in summer holidays again this year won’t have to see him till next year now. And thankfully he wants to meet in capital now but does mean it’s a full day but easier for me to keep putting off as is a full day and can’t always space a whole day.
