Jonesy,

I'm not interested in the books you have to offer but think this may be an excellent fundraising idea.
Perhaps other members may be willing to do the same, like a book swap only with donations made to isurvive in lieu.
Postage may be an issue for some but maybe we can brainstorm an idea about how to help pay for that.

Just a thought,

MS, I think it could be an awesome way for us to get books we are interested in reading and support isurvive in the promise. One question, though.... Is there a way of doing this safely without revealing personal details to potentially lots of members?

I'm happy to get my thinking cap on!

Good question Banana,
We would have to go through Jonesy; but let's put thinking caps on-there may be a way.
I think the idea has potential :)

I think this would be a fabulous way of raising funds for the site. I bet many of us have books that we once valued but no longer use.

I went to Amazon and looked at how much my books were selling for, in their current condition. I also took into account how much the Kindle version was, if available. Then I tried to set a fair price. I decided that I would rather the cash went to isurvive than Amazon. I was happy to pay the postage.

If anyone has books to pass on in this way? Please post about them here.

I suggest that interested members would then contact me directly, rather than expressing their interest on the thread, and I would then liaise on their behalf with the owner.

Essentially? You will not know who you are sending the book to, although I will obviously supply you with an address.

Let's do it.
