Suffering In Silence

Post by Chiquitta »

Suffering in Silence

When I was young
I had no one
I had no where to go
I had no place to turn to

Suffering in Silence

The years in between
Were the hardest ones
From starting line to the finishing line
I could not see

Suffering in Silence

Now that I am older
I have someone
I have somewhere to go
I have a place to turn to

Suffering in Silence

I can see the finish line
It is not how far one has to go
It is how far one has come
I made it! Alas!

Suffering in Silence No More

I wish my T would let me say nothing
He is one of those who needs to be active and involved
I wish I could lay out my poetry
He keeps looking for problems to solve

Is this better than the rest
Humanists and buddies
Never put me to the test

I don't want a fucking hug
Nor a man's man's shrug
I want to explore myself
Freely, dust off my shelves

Tactless moderators with their own little program
Apprentice psychotherapists with nothing solved
Silly rabbit, it'S not about you

So I'm back, looking for an outlet
Hope I won't have to deal with the incompetent
Sharing when you are evaluated
Makes my heart impotent
Anger is a poison you drink expecting the other person to die
-unknown

Hi Joe,

Thanks for writing about your feelings. I'm real sorry about your T not being exactly what you want, need.

Is there anything you can do, such as let T read your poem, to alert him to this fact?

May you be empowered as opposed to feeling impotence.
