TWO WORLDS:

There once was a girl
Who lived in a world
Of unspeakable deeds
And dark faces

So this little girl
Who lived in this world
Learned to travel to
Far away places

The real world
Was cold
And scary
And dark

The dream world
Could be
Anything
She desired

So the world of dreams
Is where she grew up
It helped her get through
But it came at a cost

Which would you choose
What would you do
If you had two worlds
Inside of you?

Thank you for this ... We beat r selves up for making a world where we could survive. This helps us so much. Think I will put it in my journal. Is very very good. My T would LOVE this especially cuz we struggle with it so much!

Thank-you all so much - I am speechless. And beginning to think that as well as the worlds we have inside, that there is the "other" world outside that we don't seem to belong to, because we think differently to other people. Am I right??

Our experience makes us separate, isolated, alone ... But here ... In this microcosm we are not alone. How unusual it is to discover others, like us ... Here ... And then in real life (just met 2 survivors IRL) ... Maybe we are not so alone.

... Maybe we need another of yer excellent poems for this????

Sometimes I do feel like that, like I don't belong, and like I am the only one in school who actually knows how cruel life can get. It is strange what time can do, you know, with time I have been feeling like I have more of a place in this world among those people who do not understand.
