Hello there
Yeah ... Insiders need calming somehow, thanks
Wondering if bus driver was being friendly because that is his personality? Some bus drivers here are quite surly, so it is pleasant change when we have a conversation. One single Dad wears a wedding ring as mark of respect for his deceased wife. I've noticed he always uses "we" when mentioning his plans
A sleepless night. Is after 6:30; little point in trying for dreamland now
Be lovely to pocket ride with you to hot tub and indoor pool
Hugs

Re: Fleur's 2019 Thread
Hi Fleur,
Sending support re ongoing effects prowlers have stirred up.
Would anything help before/ preparing for bedtime?
Here, if some inside or if I am feeling on high alert, we take conscious, purposeful, calm, mindful time to check and secure things, inviting everyone that wants/ needs to be present and participate.
A concious wind down activity after home is safe as possible sometimes helps.
(I realize you are very resourceful and likely know of helpful strategies for self/insiders.)
Hopefully T will connect, and will offer something tangibly helpful.
In the meantime hanging out with you if helpful, and hoping restorative sleep is possible soon.
Gentle hugs,
Couragetoday

Re: Fleur's 2019 Thread
Oh thank you so much Couragetoday for sharing those helpful thoughts, strategies
Really would appreciate your company... Know it is not able to happen in real life... Oh I do dislike using that phrase - face to face, that's better
Insider/s who stay distressed is/ are unreachable - sigh - I've offered, I've cajoled. Felt like threatening but know that would be unproductive
Another sleepless night
Phone is misbehaving. I've rebooted, switched off then turned on again after several minutes
It will be okay then freeze. Fortunately, unlike other devices I've had, I can force a restart by pressing the on button for ten seconds. Other phones I've removed battery in such circumstances
Another deep sigh
Best get the day commenced. Really wishing I could cancel yesterday and rewind clock so that it is now Saturday evening
May all be well in your sphere. Softest caring hugs

Fleur,
CT ha some great methods for insiders. I don’t have insiders, so can only speak from PTSress experience. Just hope you find ways that help insiders, Fleur.
Have observed that Bus driver is friendly and kind to passengers. Main reason I’d want to know him more at all. Thanks for holding out hope for me that he might be interested in me, too, that he’S not necessarily taken. At the very least, I now know that he is someone I can have a chat with. Socializing is practice.
We’re here at the Inn. We can swim or soak when you like!

Hi Fleur,
Definitely providing company....face to face is a much better word choice. Also wish that could be the case.
Just brainstorming....for the one/those that feel unreachable, does asking them what they need to feel ok, or safe feel appropriate? As always, pls feel free to disregard if inappropriate.
Imagining sitting with you today, troubleshooting phone for you while we relax in eachothers company, sipping on a cold drink and munching on fruit.
Lots of caring,
CT

Hello there, sounds very interesting to be at an "inn". Appreciate your sharing
I'm happy for you that you don't have insiders - you have elegant sufficiency of difficulties. PTSD is a peculiar animal in how in manifests itself, both at varying times as well as individual experience
........
Hello Couragetoday
Oh yes, I'd like that - supping on fruit, cool beverage
Sigh - I daresay my vision of you is very different from your actual appearance. However, what matters most to me is your inner beauty and how we connect on several levels - I guess you might have a visual in your head regarding me, which probably bears no relationship with actuality
May I say that I very much enjoy watching my little one interacting with you, your younger one? She gets so excited when we see her notification that there's mail "just for me" as she twirls and dances
So thank you very much for caring about all of "me"
.....
I do want to reassure everyone inside that we are safe, but it is difficult when they stay hidden. I haven't learnt how to "summon" as some people can, neither have I left out our communication book, so perhaps that could be a useful strategy to re-instate
Wishing you both special moments today

Hi Fleur,
Yes, I suppose whatever visual I have subconsciously created regarding what you might look like would be terribly inaccurate in actuality.
Funny how we tend to do that.
Your words mean so much to me, as well as to the insider you referenced. It has felt like a leap of faith for her to be attempting steady communication. Hearing that your little one enjoys this and also gets excited is so meaningful.
Thank you.
Leaving out a communication book sounds like a really good idea. I suppose along the same lines, sometimes I will offer words to anyone that might be listening, even if they don’t feel present.
I’ve noticed my T does this with some frequency in our sessions also.
I hope today is a better day.

Hello Couragetoday
Think it natural after sharing with people that we build some kind of word picture that translates into visual mind. I see you as happy, kind, caring, curious, generous and also doing your best given health concerns. I think you are inventive, creative and have great memory
Sharing something very unpleasant ... Triggers me but unsure for others
For years whenever I hear or see a flying helicopter, I get the shakes, panic, heart palpation, sick stomach. Never knew why
I as adult have no memory related to life experiences regarding these aircraft
Insider has finally shared she remembers a fireball falling out of sky - a helicopter
All I (adult) can reference is an action film or perhaps Vietnam War footage
It now makes sense of all the behaviours
Shared with pdoc who said yes, like war veterans who have PTSD, hiding from the news or medical helicopter, their mind immediately reverts to being literally in war zone. This seems to be what occurs for me
I am fine with watching helicopters on water or land or ship provided they are quiet. It's the sound that affects me, even though part of mind says from hospital, fire spotting, searching for missing person etc , the bigger part of my brain screams unsafe
On another topic, today I had confirmation I've been accepted for the inpatient EMDR program. Planned admission 7th April til first Friday in May, including Easter
Fits well with pdoc holiday - I had wondered who might be her deputy - now I'll be in the clinic
Nothing from T. Do I phone or text again? Uncertain about etiquette
Had replacement of partial filling today. Glad I ate big lunch as I don't feel up to eating. Left side of face hurts. Dentist says about a few hours before eating but I think it will be midnight
Thankfully I am using son's water bottle which has inbuilt straw. Makes drinking much easier
Hoping for peaceful sleep tonight. May you also enjoy sweet dreaming
Much caring
