Joy List

Post by there » Wed Nov 16, 2016 1:45 pm

What are some things that bring joy? Creating a Joy List can feel good. A joy list can be a helpful healing or coping tool to use.

I'll start a Joy List, and please feel free to post anything that brings you joy, happiness, or is fun for you!

A warm shower and shampooing my hair.

A walk in the woods.

Dipping my bare feet in the ocean or a lake.

Giving my dog a treat and seeing her enjoy it.

Reading in bed.

Love this, there. Thank you

Reaching the top of a hill and the surprise of a stunning vista

Laughing with friends

Snuggling up with the children in front of a good film.

Nutella pancakes (  )

Blanket of bluebells in a woody glen

Cherry blossom

:D :D :D :D

Ahh Joy,

So much needed.

When I seek joy I almost always start cooking in the kitchen. I love the smell of something being made in the oven or stove. It brings me into the moment. It nourishes more than just my tummy. Well that too... I like sharing what I make with others. I like doing things I have never cooked before. Chocolate always smells extra yum.

A warm shower makes me feel good and relaxed and present.

A really good deep honest laugh works wonders too.

thanks for posting,
Harmony

I love your joy, Jitterbug, Harmony!

When I see autumn leaves, wet on the sidewalk after a rain, it gives me joy.

So does watching goslings grow from those little yellow green fuzzy babies into 'teenagers', still following the parent geese around.

This is such a lovely idea there, thank you.

Fresh crispy winter morning with bright blue skies

Curling up with my fluffy cat

Beautiful Reds oranges and purples of a gorgeous sunset

Sharing laughter

Lovely reading of others joy too :)

Looking for joy in:
a great old song.
in a loved one's belly laugh
in a single really ripe fresh berry.
in the familiar and comfortable
in the new and unexpected
in thoughtfulness and respect.

Joy is everywhere if you look for it.

Hearing the voice of my friend just when I need it
Watching my pup jump in and out of the waves
Being able to make someone smile

Really need to consider joy atm.
Watching a gorgeous waterfall in Oregon.
Walking our dogs with my brother on Thanksgiving.
Silly puns.
The smell of clean laundry.
