Diagnostic Update
Hi All,
I think I mentioned previously that I'd gone back to therapy, temporarily, to address a couple of issues via EMDR and to have my diagnosis updated formally.
Well, today, after about four or five months of therapy, my therapist and I decided that I am 'done'. Happy graduation day to me!
The two EMDR sessions were highly successful. So, no more PTSD or DID!
My new diagnoses are now:
- Major Depression, in full remission
- DID, in full remission
- Anxiety Disorder NOS (not otherwise specified)
I am VERY excited!
BB

Re: Diagnostic Update
Thanks for your warm and positive responses!
I have to tell you all, it is absolutely amazing how much psychic energy, so to speak, has been released now that I no longer have the DID and PTSD. DID is a strong defense mechanism but it takes a LOT of energy to maintain the DID defense! Now that I no longer need the dissociative defenses, I have energy freed up to use for other things.
It feels like my life is just beginning anew.
I hope this news brings hope to all of you.
