I hope someone here will find cathartic release from my little playlist here. This thread is a great idea. Music is very healing. Idk what I'd do without my music. <3

I can definitely relate! I love Sia and Tori Amos too. And thank you for introducing me to Daughtry's Undefeated. I have it on repeat now. It really gets the blood pumping! I'm always on the lookout for things to sing while doing chores, and it would be amazing to sing this after Simon and Garfunkel's The Boxer.

Song: One More Light

"Who cares if one more light goes out
In the sky of a million stars?
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out
If a moment is all we are?
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well, I do"

This song is lovely too. Sweet, evocative, and sad. Thank you for sharing your songs!
I remain, for now,
Quietly

Song: Just Keep Breathing
We The Kings
Album: Somewhere Somehow
Producer: Blake Healy
2013

When heaven seems so far away
And dreams are just a memory
Without the dark the light won't show
Remember that you're not alone

Song: These Times
SafetySuit
Album: These Times
Producer: Howard Benson
2012

These times will try hard to define me
And I’ll try to hold my head up high
But I’ve seen despair here from the inside
And it’s got a one track mind

Song: Fight Song
Rachel Platten
Album: Wild Fire
Producer: Jon Levine
2015

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on

Song: The Resistance
Skillet
Album: Unleashed
Producer: Brian Howes
2016

(Who's gonna stand up, who's gonna fight?)
The voice of the unheard
(Who's gonna break these chains and lies?)
Love is the answer
I gotta speak it, believe it, that's how I feel inside
I, I, can't, can't sit here quiet

Song: Until You’re Big Enough
Mayday Parade
Album: Black Lines
Producer: Mike Sapone
2015

If I bite the hook would you tell me I'm wrong?
Speak like a man who believes he's got no destiny
He's content
Troubles so great that you shouldn't have gone through
With a clarity I've never seen
I will build you up until you're big enough
To pick me up

Song: One of Us
Mayday Parade
Album: Black Lines
Producer: Vince Ratti
2015

You've gotta fight the beast inside
And all the while enjoy the ride
You've gotta keep an open mind
And willingness to change
Well God knows I've changed
I talk like I'm wounded now
I walk like I don't know how
Maybe I could re-teach myself
One foot in front of the other one

Song: Satellite
Gabbie Hanna
Album: GH1
Producer: Dylan Gardner
2017

Guess I gotta be content with playing in the darkness
A lovely place to hide
Oh, but hide and seek is only fun if, if somebody's looking
And nobody's got the time

Or, maybe I'm too quick to pass the blame
Maybe I should ask someone to play

Song: Hold On
Artist: Extreme Music
Year: 2015
Publisher: can't find
Album: it's not on the official soundtrack, but it's from the movie Leap (aka Ballerina in some countries).

Actually, all of the music from that movie is really beautiful and uplifting I think. Movie available on Netflix, and music available on YouTube.

"Hold on just one more day,
hold on, you know you'll find a way"
You are stronger than you know.

Demi Lovato- Warrior (it's about not letting the abuser WIN and being a WARRIOR)

CHORUS
Now I'm a warrior
Now I've got thicker skin
I'm a warrior
I'm stronger than I've ever been
And my armor, is made of steel, you can't get in
I'm a warrior
And you can never hurt me again

Christina Aguilera- Best of me (Like demi's, it's about not letting the abuser win, but also applies to being criticised and put down badly- like i had been from my abuser)

CHORUS
But you'll never get the best of me, no more
Said you'll never get the best of me, no more
Aren't you tired of throwing stones
Trying to kick me when I'm down
But you'll never get the best of me, no more

Kesha- Prayin (this one is about FORGIVING the abuser and even praying for him- forgiveness is extremely hard and kesha really empathises how hard it is to forgive the abuser in this song- so beautiful and will bring you to tears as it will make you feel more forgiving to the abuser, and can really turn any hatred into forgiveness to the abuser which will help set you free).

CHORUS
You brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I'll just say this is "I wish you farewell"
I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin'
I hope your soul is changin', changin'
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin'

Three very beautiful songs, with strong powerful and positive messages, with beautiful messages but three very beautiful women who too have had very troubled times (especially demi and kesha) and can help you express all that you felt and help set you free!

Andra Day
“Rise Up”

This song gave me hope in my darkest moments.

You're broken down and tired
Of living life on a merry go round
And you can't find the fighter
But I see it in you so we gonna walk it out
And move mountains

I found a wonderfully healing music track

Post by ChipmunksRunFree »

It's called "Celebrate Yourself" by Parijat, from an album called "The Healing Path". I like that this artist's music is without vocals, features a lot of acoustic guitar, and is meditative and evocative. Meaning, it may appeal to just about anyone. Here is a link to this song on Spotify: (url removed)

I wish we could all be together in a circle right now, and slowly dance to this track, palpating and intuiting what it must feel like to celebrate each one of us...... We are all so special
