Wings describes my situation, too. My mom was killed when I was one yr. old, and I lived with different sets of relatives, and one aunt was a narcissicist sadist during my most formative years. But I made a good life for myself despite it, on the surface. I hope I won't trigger anyone here, as I've been in therapy a few years and accustomed to talking about abuse. I mostly plan to read about how others heal. Therapy has really changed me for the better. i went through a long period of negative transference with my therapist, but has turned to positive through her patience and modern techniques based on Winnicott, Balint, etc. I have hope for me now! I've made major steps this year, to trusting and letting my inner kid be present with my therapist, without fear. :)

Hi. I'm Nibs.

Thank you for the warm words of welcome. I do know what happened to me was abuse, but I am a survivor, little by little. This is my first foray into the forum, I will be spending much time reading in the days to come, hoping here I can find the support I have been searching for in life.

I am new here and as Wings said I am a little nervous and embarrassed. And I wonder if my experiences even qualify me to be here. Thanks
